biography

Franz Lorenz, born on 01.01. 1926, as his father and grandfather before him, the tenant of the Jamtalhütte. From 1882 growing this important refuge of the German Alpine Club (section Swabia) to one of the most important bases in the development of the Eastern Alps. The hut will be closed by the Nazis and made the borders sealed and Switzerland. The will to survive is for the persecuted but the path by using guides, which the sons of Lorenz are brought up from early on. After 1955, "with the father in the background" builds Franz Lorenz exemplary with the conditions for the development of winter tourism in the region. In the avalanche of 1999 is his wife died.
